You asked…we answered!

As we wrap up our Spring DTour, we thought it would be a good idea to pick some of the questions we get asked most at the healthcare shows we attended this year, and answer them all! Here are the most popular questions:

1. Wow…I did not know that there are different versions of Ddrops! What other versions do you have?

Perhaps Ddrops Company is best known for the infant vitamin D supplement, Baby Ddrops 400 IU, specifically designed for breastfed infants. There are other versions of Ddrops® that are designed for varying vitamin D requirements. Ddrops® Booster  600 IU is a liquid vitamin D supplement containing 600 IU of vitamin D3 in just one drop.  This dose matches Health Canada and Institute of Medicine Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamin D for those about the age of 1 year. Adult Ddrops® 1000 IU makes it easy to take naturally sourced vitamin D₃ without pills and without additives. Each purified drop contains 1000 IU of vitamin D₃ and permits effective absorption and easy dose adjustments according to individual needs. All Ddrops® product offer easy and convenient dosing, with just one drop licked off any clean surface such as the back of a washed hand or licked off a spoon.  Ddrops can also be dropped onto food or into liquids.

2. What are the latest vitamin D recommendations?

The latest update on vitamin D recommendations from Health Canada was published in late 2010 online here. Some other Canadian associations have vitamin D recommendations for various age-groups. A summary for infants can be viewed here, kids here and adults here.

3. Can I get samples of all these version of Ddrops?

We are very please to send samples to offices of healthcare professionals.  Many of you took the time to complete our quick form (If not you can fill it out Canada here and United States here), and we will be sending these out in response. Keep in mind that there are samples of Baby Ddrops® and Ddrops® Booster in Canada only.  At this time we do not have samples of Ddrops 1000 IU.  We would never be able to keep up with demand for Ddrops, as we realize that you would ideally want all patents in you practice to receive Ddrops samples. We do have lots of literature with a special offer, and these are a great way to explain more about the need for vitamin D to your patients.
